Reverie retreats are intentionally intimate. The maximum group size is 12 participants so we can ensure safety, presence, and personalized attention for everyone.
Each retreat is held by three experienced facilitators. The facilitator-to-participant ratio never exceeds 1:4, allowing close support before, during, and after every ceremony.
Absolutely. We encourage pre-retreat conversations to clarify questions, explore your intentions, and ensure the retreat is the right fit. After submitting your application, you will also have a 1-on-1 conversation with our therapist as part of the screening process.
Preparation and integration are core pillars of Reverie. Before arrival you receive a comprehensive preparation kit covering physical, mental, and emotional readiness. During the retreat, trauma-informed workshops, embodied practices, and curated sharing circles help you engage deeply with every ceremony.
Integration is woven into the retreat itself and continues afterward through a dedicated integration guide and optional follow-up support so you can translate insights into daily life.
We focus on empowering individuals to take responsibility for their own healing. While we honor the indigenous roots of ayahuasca, we do not follow a highly traditional shamanic format. Ceremonies are guided by a carefully curated playlist rather than live icaros, and we work exclusively with ayahuasca—without tobacco or other substances—to prioritize safety and comfort.
This approach resonates with people who value clarity, structure, and personal agency. Those seeking a strictly traditional shamanic container may prefer a different retreat style.
The 7-day retreat includes three night ceremonies. The 9-day retreat includes the same three night ceremonies plus a special day ceremony where participants take a lower dose and spend time outdoors connecting with nature. Live singing may be part of the day ceremony to further enhance the experience.
Both formats are powerful, yet many guests describe the day ceremony as a gentle, highly insightful complement to the night journeys.
Ayahuasca is one tool among many. Trauma-informed workshops help you build self-awareness and uncover the patterns driving your choices. Ceremony days include embodied practices such as yoga, gentle breathwork, and meditation to regulate the nervous system. Optional massages are available for an additional fee.
Post-ceremony integration is supported through guided sharing circles, unstructured creative art sessions, sound healing, and additional embodiment workshops. There is also ample free time to rest, journal, and connect with others.
Yes, you may leave the grounds during designated free time. Many guests enjoy a short hike to a nearby waterfall to connect with nature and integrate insights. We simply ask that you honor the retreat schedule so the group container remains coherent.
Yes. Many guests join solo and enjoy the balance between personal privacy and communal connection. You will have your own private room while still being welcomed into a warm, supportive group environment.
Yes, you are welcome to attend together. Each person can have a private suite at the same rate, or you can share a suite—either one double bed for couples or two doubles for friends and family.
Retreats often deepen relationships, though if there is significant unresolved conflict, we suggest seeking therapeutic support first so the experience feels safe for everyone.
No. Reverie retreats are not therapy and do not replace medical or psychological treatment. They are facilitated experiences held within a structured, trauma-informed container that includes preparation and integration practices.
Being in therapy is often supportive. We recommend informing both your therapist and our intake team so we can ensure alignment, safety, and continuity of care.
Some medications are not compatible with ayahuasca. This will be carefully reviewed during the screening process conducted by an experienced professional. Never stop medication without consulting your prescribing doctor.
Contraindications may include certain medical conditions, medications such as antidepressants or MAO inhibitors, or specific psychiatric histories. Our screening process exists to ensure your safety and prevent potential harm.
Reverie works with ayahuasca in a ceremonial context, guided by experienced facilitators and held within clear preparation, integration frameworks, and safety protocols. Our ayahuasca is locally sourced and brewed in the Sacred Valley.
Ayahuasca is safe when prepared and consumed responsibly in a controlled setting. The brew contains natural plant compounds, including DMT and MAO inhibitors, which are safe for most healthy individuals under guidance.
Our ceremonies use carefully measured doses, facilitators remain present throughout, and our thorough medical screening ensures contraindications are addressed in advance.
While having experienced an altered state (for example through breathwork) can be helpful, it is not required. Our retreat is suitable for first-time participants. We use a gradual dosage approach, provide a safe and supportive container, and our facilitators stay close so you feel held every step of the way.
Ceremonies take place in a beautiful circular hut (maloca) overlooking the surrounding mountains. Each participant has a mattress, pillow, blankets, and a bucket for purging, with an adjacent bathroom for convenience. Facilitators remain in the room at all times.
Thoughtfully selected music from across the globe guides the inner journey. For safety and comfort, participants refrain from talking or touching one another. Night ceremonies start after dark and end around midnight. In 9-day retreats, a special day ceremony includes a lower dose outdoors, sometimes accompanied by live singing.
A 7-day retreat includes three night ceremonies. A 9-day retreat includes three night ceremonies plus one day ceremony. Multiple ceremonies provide the time and integration space needed for insights to land and for the healing arc to unfold safely.
Ayahuasca can act like a mirror, helping you witness patterns, emotions, and fears that influence your life. Some journeys are gentle and reflective while others are vivid and intense. Letting go of expectations allows the medicine to guide the experience in its own way.
Our facilitators, pre-ceremony workshops, and integration practices help you engage consciously, harvest the insights, and bring them into daily life.
Dosage is individualized and based on your intake form, previous experience, and how you respond during the ceremony. We prioritize safety and use a gradual approach so you always feel supported and in choice.
Every journey is different, and all experiences are valid. Dosage is guided individually and can be adjusted in future ceremonies based on your response, always with safety and care. Subtle sessions often deliver profound insights once integration begins.
One of the biggest myths about ayahuasca is that purging is inevitable. In our experience, fewer than a quarter of participants purge physically. Many people process the journey emotionally or energetically without vomiting.
Each participant has a bucket and access to the bathroom if needed, and facilitators are nearby to assist. If purging happens it is completely normal and nothing to be ashamed of.
You will receive detailed preparation guidelines that cover diet, lifestyle adjustments, emotional work, and contraindications. Following these guidelines is essential for safety, clarity, and a grounded connection with the medicine.
Integration support during the retreat helps you make sense of your experience. After you return home, you will receive a detailed integration kit and a private session with our psychotherapist to deepen clarity and bring insights into daily life. If you wish to continue with professional support, we can recommend therapists experienced in working with altered states of consciousness. /p>

Comfort and privacy are essential during transformational work. Every participant receives a private, beautifully designed suite (bedroom plus bathroom) included in the retreat price.
Yes. Every participant has a private suite at no additional cost. If you prefer to stay with a partner or friend, we can arrange suites with either one double bed or two doubles.
Meals are ayahuasca-friendly, nourishing, and aligned with preparation guidelines. Ingredients are mostly plant-based and locally sourced. We accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies whenever possible.

Peru’s Sacred Valley during our retreat months (May, June, September, October) can be chilly in the mornings and evenings while mid-days are warm. Occasional rain can occur, so pack adaptable layers and a light rain jacket.
High-speed Wi-Fi is available, but we encourage using this time as a digital detox. Unplugging allows you to fully immerse in the experience, connect with yourself and others, and receive the retreat’s full benefit.
Full presence is strongly encouraged. Arriving late or leaving early can disrupt both your process and the collective container. We recommend reaching Peru at least a day early to adjust to the altitude and taking a little time afterward for a smooth transition back to daily life.
